Kieze Gegen Rechts is about local civil society engagement against right-wing extremism. How do you join forces when neo-Nazis suddenly move through your neighbourhood? How can one stand up against discrimination and for an open society on a small scale? We invite initiatives and activists who set a good example.
The evening is embedded in the activities that DIE VIELEN are staging on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, the liberation from National Socialism and Europe Day. Around the Platz der Republik, on the evening of May 8th and the afternoon of May 9th, people will sing, picnic, celebrate and debate together. With choirs and choreographies, speeches, projections and shiny sculptures we will set an example for an open, diverse and tolerant society.
The detailed programme, as well as events organised by other institutions which have signed the Berlin Declaration of the Many, can be found at www.dievielen.de.
