for those who don’t know us yet
          there’s seven of us
craving to spend some time with you
to get under your skin, if possible
to get to know you better than we know ourselves
some say we’re forward, inquisitive, manipulative
          or downright evil.
some claim we can’t be trusted.
          rest assured, they are wrong.
          we’re players
and our intentions are always sincere.
our sole purpose in unreal life
is to let you find out who you might be
and get entangled in the game you play
          you’ll be safe
          we’re doing it for you

How quickly is a first impression formed and what do we project on to others? Ontroerend Goed wants to capture those fleeting moments of perception. They want to get to know you exactly the way you are! - exactly the way you are! Some claim they can’t be trusted. But rest assured: they claim that their intentions are always sincere. After an international tour this acclaimed Belgian performance is shown for the first time in Berlin!

DURATION 30 - 55 Minuten DIRECTION Alexander Devriendt WITH Lisa Schamlé, Joeri Smet, Aurélie Lannoy, Joeri Heegstra, Mieke Versyp TECHNIQUE Tom Daniels, Thibaut Wohlfahrt

Ontroerend Goed is a Belgian Theatre-performance-group who produces self-devised work grounded in the here and now, inviting their audiences to participate as well as observe. They first emerged on the international scene in 2007, with The Smile Off Your Face. Their hit show Once and For All was an uncompromising celebration of raw teenage energy on stage. With every new piece of work, Ontroerend Goed provides an intense experience constructed in reality; life goes on during the performance. The company has won numerous prizes across Europe and has hit New York, Sydney, London to critical acclaim. Their work is currently being performed in countries around the world.

A production by Ontroerend Goed in coproduction with BAC – Battersea Arts Centre and Richard Jordan Productions Ltd. Supported by the National Theatre Studio (London). In cooperation with Vooruit, KC België & Inkonst (Malmö). Funded by the Flemish Government, the province Ostflanders and the city of Ghent. Media partners: ExBerliner, taz. die tageszeitung, Zitty, ASK HELMUT.
