A performative encyclopedia of female outbursts that uses rage as an empowerment strategy.

In our society, women are still expected to remain friendly and keep their anger to themselves. However, there are countless female role models in mythology, history, pop culture and everyday life who have expressed their anger in an empowering way. Sööt/Zeyringer take these women into the spotlight: In minimalist scenarios they raise their voices and give free rein to profitable and destructive forms of anger and indignation. With dry humour, a rage archive is created that makes visible the manifold ways of being angry.

TIINA SÖÖT and DOROTHEA ZEYRINGER have been working together in Vienna since 2012. Their performances operate at the interface of visual art, dance and theatre and address socially relevant and personal themes in a poetic and humorous way. Their works have been shown at brut Wien, Tanzquartier Wien, Sõltumatu Tantsu Lava Tallinn, Kunstraum Niederösterreich, National Dance Center Bucharest and Schauspiel Köln. The performance lonely lonely was awarded by the Austrian Federal Chancellery and the Stockholm Fringe Festival.
