In OUT OF MIND Eva Meyer-Keller and her accomplices develop choreographic approaches to what we call consciousness and experience. She takes neuroscientific approaches as a starting point to undertake a dive into a slippery terrain of uncertainties and turns the theater space into an experimental laboratory in which more-thanhuman performers enter the scene as well.

Time out of Joint is a grotesque variety show of political speeches and a virtuously cacophonous concert of feminist struggles of the 20th century. Applying the tactic of tactlessness, utterances by historically influential female* speakers are dissected, distorted and recomposed. Dancing bodies explore rhetorical strategies as questions of rhythmic (re)arrangement and make voice audible as the battlefield of political representation.

JANUAR 05 – 21

Hey, why do you look so tired? "Urgency culture" expects us to be connected and responsive constantly. There is little to no time left to imagine the world otherwise. Tanztage Berlin – a yearly festival highlighting the work of the city's emerging dance makers – is back to diagnose the present and predict the future. Its 32nd edition investigates our daily overstimulation and chronic fatigue by reflecting on how we move to the rhythm of today's high-speed, social media-driven reality and its challenges.

Auf Deutsch - in German

It is the year 19 after, as always, Christa. The comedy stages are occupied by men. All stages? Oh no! In a small town called Berlin there is a stage bustling solely with witty women. They have developed their very own technique: a bouquet of crisis issues in cooperation with ego and surroundings. They are spurred on by the famous Vanessa Stern, who has sacrificed her name specifically for this top-notch event so that more people attend. The rest is an unrehearsed surprise, sandwiches and over iconic worship. The slogan for February: Kein Aber.

BY and with Vanessa Stern

A production by Vanessa Stern and SOPHIENSÆLE. Realized with funds by Theaterpreis des Bundes.

VANESSA STERN, actress, founder of Krisenzentrum für weibliche Komik, has worked continuously since 2011 within the framework of her project Heulen kann jede - weibliche Komik in der Krise at Sophiensæle. Her productions Das Kapital der Tränen and Die Umschülerinnen oder Die Komödie der unbegabten Kinder were each nominated for the Friedrich Luft Prize and her theatre film Sleeping Duties - Probleme sind eine gute Lösung was nominated for the nachtkritik Theatertreffen in 2021. She regularly produces episodes of her large comedy lab show format La derniere crise - Women on the Edge of Comedy at the Festsaal der Sophiensæle. heulenkannjede.de
