JANUARY 07 to ∞

Due to the current pandemic situation, the 30th edition of the Tanztage Berlin will start as an online program from January 7 to 16. All planned live performances will then be made up for in spring 2021.
The film showdown AV by choreographer Judith Förster and filmmaker Stella Horta will kick off the festival on January 7. Clay AD will present the first digital premiere of the festival on January 15 with the performance Indication of Spring at the End of Time. We also invite you to an online Zukunftswerkstatt – a series of discussions about work culture and mental health, organized in cooperation with the ZTB (Zeitgenössischer Tanz Berlin) association. Pedro Marum will also curate an online format focusing on new artistic practices of care in club culture. In addition to this, the festival presents the first three episodes of its podcast, which was prepared in collaboration with the queer-feminist rave collective LECKEN.

          RECOMMANDED FOR 16+

A high-speed show with musical elements, drag, lip-sync and acrobatics: on the threshold between art and entertainment, four dancers show that bodies are as changeable as identities. In a charade of gender roles and stereotypes, disguise and revelation, they take the audience on a rollercoaster ride of references. In a surprising and visionary way, supposed contradictions merge into a liberating experience. An invitation to finally cut the shackles of normativity!

VINCENT RIEBEEK, born 1988 in the Netherlands, studied choreography at SNDO Amsterdam and received the danceWeb scholarship at Impulstanz Vienna in 2010. Since 2010 he has been working with Florentina Holzinger. Their joint duet Kein Applaus für Scheiße attracted international attention and toured through European festivals. Their work Spirit (2012) premiered at Campo/Gent in October 2012 and was shown at Sophiensæle in 2013. Other works by him include Soli like Justice or Come Clean life and the duet NewDust with Michele Rizzo. At Tanztage Berlin 2015 he showed his solo Flaming Lamborghini. Schönheitsabend, again with Florentina Holzinger, was shown at  Sophiensæle in 2016, and at The Greatest Show on Earth (also in 2016) the two commented on their joint work biography as a tightrope act. Vincent recently graduated with a Master's degree in Theatre from the Amsterdam School of Art. One of a Kind is the result of two years of research and is shown throughout Europe.
