Age is just a number - nevertheless, we can't get around aging. In the midst of debates about climate change, identity politics and body images, it is time to renegotiate long outdated generational contracts. Thus, not only the recent pandemic has demonstrated that questions about responsibilities and solidarity have to be asked again. The performance festival COMING OF AGE, which will take place from September 15 to November 7 at the Sophiensæle, is dedicated to various aspects of aging in society - and looks at the different challenges of a phenomenon that affects us all.

THE PRESALE ENDS THE DAY BEFORE EACH SHOW AT 4PM.

In English

One day before the performance, all ticket buyers will receive a personal email from ticketing@sophiensaele.com with all important information on how to participate in the digital event. Please contact us if you have not received this on the day of the performance.

An invitation to pause, to rest, to listen. For her documentary work, Raquel Meseguer Zafe has collected over 300 stories of people who, like herself, depend on lying down and resting in public spaces. Audience members can now experience the play from the comfort of their own homes and together, in their own spaces of choice, trace the lived experiences of people with invisible disabilities and chronic illnesses. A Crash Course in Cloudspotting is equal parts theater and meditation on rest, gravity, and interpersonal connections. A special and intimate audio journey of fragile beauty.

Audience members who register for the event by July 21 will receive a hand-crafted English-language booklet by mail to accompany the listening experience, upon request and by providing their address in the online ticket store. The booklet is not required to attend the production - a digital version can be downloaded HERE. The audio play and accompanying booklet feature stories written and read by: I. Ailing, M. Agathangelou, A. Berry, N. Kov, J. Mclaughlin, A. Morgan, P. Sanchez, and M. Smith.

On the website https://www.mayk.org.uk/cloudspotting-access-page you will find an audio version of the program flyer, audio instructions for using the app, an audio description of the booklet as well as a digital edition of the booklet, a text version of the play and a link to the audio play in case you cannot use the app.
