Together with composer Marta Forsberg, Sindri Runudde explores the concept of voicemail and the culture of auditory versus text-based SMS: A Sensoral Lecture is all about auditory romance and love at first frequency - an exploration of sound and especially the voice as a form of touch. Through dance, dialogue and movement exercises, Sindri invites the audience to a sensory lecture full of humour, imagination and sensitivity. The performance is based on the exploration of a tactile and auditory movement practice called "Centred Adventures". The audience is invited to try out this practice during the performance.
The festival Queering the Crip, Cripping the Queer takes place in cooperation with the Schwulen Museum, which presents the exhibition of the same name from September 1 to January 30, 2023, and questions the fantasy of the ideal body with artworks by 24 international contemporary artists.

The performance lasts approx. 65 minutes and takes place in English spoken language. We offer an early admission for people who require a specific seat or a more relaxed admission for accessibility (meeting point: 5 minutes before the start of the performance at the bar on the first floor). At the entrance, each visitor receives an everyday object. During the show, the audience is asked several times to interact with the object with their hands. The audience sits on all sides of the stage so that an observational situation can arise. At the beginning of the second scene and at the end of the performance, the room is completely darkened for about one minute each. Once, glaring, flickering light is used for several minutes, which is placed on the floor. Several times the room is bathed in reddish or yellow light and/or stage fog. In one scene, pulsating as well as flickering light is used to loud disco music. Electronic, looped sounds are often heard, with sound and voice recordings sometimes overlapping.
There is an audio description in German spoken language for all performances with a preceding touch tour for blind and visually impaired persons. The touch tour starts 75 minutes before the show. The meeting point is at the box office in the Sophiensaele courtyard. Ticket reservations are accepted by Hannah Aldinger at barrierefreiheit@sophiensale.com or by calling 030 278900 35. If required, we offer a pick-up service for blind and visually impaired people from the nearby S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations Hackescher Markt and Weinmeisterstraße. To make use of the pick-up service, please contact us during our business hours (Monday to Friday between 10am and 6pm) on 030 27 89 00 30 or barrierefreiheit@sophiensale.com.
The performance is a Relaxed Performance. Relaxed Performances welcome all visitors for whom sitting still for long periods of time in the theatre is a barrier (for example autistic people, people with Tourette's, learning difficulties or chronic pain). Noises and movements from the audience are very welcome. Visitors can leave and return to the auditorium at any time.
The audience area on the grandstand is seated. There are four wheelchair seats and four beanbag seats, which can be reserved according to availability or purchased in the online ticket shop or at the box office.
Persons with disabilities receive reduced tickets at a price of 10€ plus one free ticket for an accompanying person. For questions or more information, please contact Hannah Aldinger at barrierefreiheit@sophiensale.com or 030 27 89 00 35.
