Gastkünstler*in gesucht! +++ Guest Artist Role

(English Below)

In vorangegangen Shows haben Gastkünstler*innen z.B.

Februar.

Beige B*tch offers a 4 - 10 minute performance slot for a guest performer in the prologue of the show by Nima Séne on the 24th and 25th of March.

This is a performance role for an artist who identifies as black and as non-binary, trans, queer or female. The artist must be available on the 23rd March for 2 hours, negotiable in the afternoon, for a chat and working together on the material. You also need to be available on the 24th + 25th of March for a dress rehearsal (time TBC) and the full performance at Sophiensæle on the same days. For this role you will be paid by Sophiensæle for your time and contribution.

This performance role is essential to the shows main aims to centre the voices and experiences of queer black people and offer a platform to connect and showcase artists' work. This is a unique opportunity of reflection for Nima and the guest artist to discover a relationship between their respective practices.

The slot is open and flexible in style and content but is best suited to an artist with existing material that can be re-worked or performed for the context of the show. Previously, guest artists have performed spoken word poetry, delivered intimate one-to-one monologues and played electronic tracks and live samples of recorded text with accompanying visuals.

Please get in touch with a few sentences as to what you would like to do, and some examples of your work; written or video recorded. Nima will then get in touch and proceed to have a phone call with you (so please provide your phone number). Looking forward to hearing from you!

Please email

Deadline is the 24th of February.
