Shining live stream of the Many

© Die Vielen

MAY 08 | 6 PM – 12 MIDNIGHT
MAY 09 | 12.30 – 1.30 PM

On May 08, the live stream will show actions and statements of more than 4,400 signatories of the Declaration of the Many in Germany and Austria. In this digital space of possibilities, large and small projects will find their place and diverse voices will have their say.

On the occasion of Europe Day, the musicians Bernadette La Hengst and Barbara Morgenstern have rewritten the song Ode an die Freude and composed an alternative European anthem of the Many, which calls for an open and solidary Europe. On May 09, the signatories will read out together the over 30 regional declarations of the Many and choirs and musicians all over Germany will sing the alternative European anthem from their windows and balconies at home, stream it and spread it via social media.

Part of the DAYS OF SHINING ACTION is an online edition of our regular series KiezKantine. Under the motto Kieze gegen rechts, from May 04 - 08, we will stream five interviews right into your home. The Podcast presents five projects and initiatives from Berlin that are actively engaged in civil society and show how to stand up against discrimination and for an open society on a small scale.
