Passing by hairs erupting, droplets on the tiny leaves of moss, lips and throat like an underwater cave~
we are all made of stars is a journey through the body as a living landscape. Performed in a bathtub using an endoscopic camera, movement & lip-sync, Freddie Wulf explores the close-up textures of body, water and plant. Inspired by philosophies of vital materialism, the show combines visual languages from body horror and nature documentaries, moving between atmospheres of discomfort, dis/connection, and bliss.
With a live sound score by Alicia Jane Turner.
PAF INTRODUCING... has been an integral part of the program of the Performing Arts Festival Berlin since its first edition and is always good for a surprise. After all, the newcomers of the independent scene always bring new topics and aesthetics, questions and criticism. This year, the interest was particularly great: over 200 young artists and collectives responded to the Open Call with the desire to present their perspectives to audiences and houses and to enter into exchange. After all, participation in the PAF offers participants not only visibility, but also opportunities for consultation and networking in their work. In cooperation with the venues Ballhaus Ost, HAU Hebbel am Ufer, Sophiensæle and TD Berlin, four productions were selected to enrich this festival edition.
