Allege (2013) – Sophiensæle | Independent Theater in Berlin
Allege (2013)

Clément Layes celebrated his debut with his piece Allege at the 2010 Tanztage where he expertly juggled with our view of the world. In his own universe he cleverly shifts around the familiar connection between subject and meaning. In a game of constraints and coercion he introduces new perspectives on our trusted world of objects. After international guest appearances, Allege is back at the Sophiensaele and returns with a new cast and adaptation. His former debut now meets with his most recent work Public and Private: Things that Surround Us, which has its origins in everyday life. But what at first appears to be familiar turns out to become the unusual, in the hands of these three performers.
