NO LIMIT
Remote-Performance
GER + EN with german live description, spoken and sign language

It's show time! We celebrate the reversal of circumstances: In the NO LIMIT cosmos, disabled people are the majority. And the norm. Their promise to the minority is called "inclusion". People with special needs (non-disabled) should now be allowed to participate. Therefore, a great gesture is made to raise awareness of their concerns and to offer the prospect of solidarity.

This is how we wanted to make theatre. Now reality has caught up with us. With Covid-19, the individual experience of being limited in one's own possibilities is seeping into the collective social body. The Show can't go on, but we press the buzzer and stay on the screen. We move the show into the virtual, because now is exactly the right moment to tweak the concept of norm and ask ourselves a couple questions: To which norm do we actually want to return after this "exceptional situation"? And do we want to continue glorifying strategies of self-exploitation in the norm of the future?

NO LIMIT is a remote performance. In a webinar format, spectators and performers meet live and interactively. Don't worry, there’s no obligation to participate and you’ll remain invisible. If you just want to stare, you’re very welcome; there’s no need to take a shower and make yourself presentable! But don't think that you don't have a standing in the matter of reorganisation or, viceversa, that you can steal out of responsibility! We are all change-makers now! Whether you like it or not!

With digital touch tour and integrated live description in German language
In the touch tour at the beginning of the online performance, the digital stage space will be explored and an introduction to the webinar and procedures will be given. The live description during the performance gives blind and visually impaired spectators access to the visual elements of the performance: movement, gestures, facial expressions, stage design, costumes and props are described. In the chat column there are additional descriptions that can be listened to via screen reader.

RELAXED PERFORMANCE
This performance is as relaxed as your home environment: Make yourself comfortable and adjust the sound volume and light level on your computer to your needs. If you want, you can turn on and off during the show, retreat to another room for a break or simply close your laptop. Silence is, of course, not obligatory.

Angela Alves lives as a choreographer in Berlin and identifies as a crip artist. Her artistic practice focuses on political dimensions of the unavailable body and explores its transformative potency in classist and ableist pre-structured spaces. Alves translates access into performative formats and questions perceptions of “healthy” and “sick”. She studied dance at ArtEZ (NL) and dance theory at Freie Universität Berlin.
