Leo G. Alonso: ARCI – an open-source, web-based phone application for theater makers and performance artists
Are you an artist and interested in creating interactive phone based stuff for your performances, theater shows or events? Would you like to send texts, GIFs, images or sounds to your audience through their private phones, run polls and do much more?
Theater collective Henrike Iglesias has been developing interactive shows using phones since 2020. Over the course of the last three years, together with creative coder Bleeptrack, they’ve created ARCI: an open-source, web-based phone application.
In a three-hour workshop, Leo G. Alonso will guide you through installing ARCI on your own server and show you how the tool works. You’ll have time to experiment and get hands-on support throughout the process. No technical skills are required, we’ll walk you through every step.
