Voguing – acceptance and empowerment for everyone- a utopia or reality? Wolfgang Busch’s award winning documentary film “How do I look?”, which depicts icons of the ballroom dancing scene such as Willi Ninja or Jose Xtravaganza, is the prelude to Sophiensaele’s Voguing Specials within the framework of the Berlin Voguing Out 2014 Festival. In a panel discussion following the screening, the filmmaker, along with Voguing legend Archie Burnett and Cesar Valentino, will recount their personal experiences in the ballroom scene – from successes to blows of fate and the fascination of such a complex culture. Afterwards there is a party with ballroom beats by Vjuan Allure from New York and dancers from the House of Melody. Strike a pose!
