Traumboy

Daniel is a sex worker. In the performance Traumboy he tells of his experiences as a prostitute - without any shame, completely honest and interactive. He explains why he took up this kind of work, describes his clients and their wishes. The audience experiences first hand a young man who gladly prostitutes himself. There is just one problem: the stigma. In his private life he has kept his side job a secret so far. Simply because to have sex with strangers for money, is still a taboo.

Traumboy questions the double standard of a through and through capitalist and over sexualized society. The performer’s body becomes a projection surface for fears, fantasies and contradictions. He slips into different roles, which he plays for his clients – or are they for the audience?

In a self-dramatization with a double floor, the audience is called upon to question their sexual moral concepts and to take a closer look at a sexual being for which it considers itself to be. Are the limits in your mind, there where you thought they were?
