“Men” eat steaks. They drink bitter beers, burp and are ravenously hungry. “Women”, on the other hand, eat a colourful salad. They do low carb. They‘re already full. They‘re starving. “Women” cook, “men” eat. Lots of sexism in our schnitzel! Henrike Iglesias says: Bullshit! We are hungry and we eat! In a cooking show with a glittering curtain, a designer kitchen and an oversized, vampiresque Venus flytrap, the performers serve up the social obsession called food, devouring whatever gets in their way. „Like an extended middle finger: It‘s a scenic manifesto against bodyshaming and against everyone who has ever been guilty of it.“ (nachtkritik.de)

HENRIKE IGLESIAS understand pop cultural and mass media phenomena as a mirror of societal attitudes and grievances, and love to explore them from queer and feminist perspectives. Based in Berlin and Basel , they make experimental performances. The permanent crew includes Anna Fries, Eva G. Alonso, Malu Peeters, Marielle Schavan and Sophia Schroth.
