Auf Deutsch - in German
A sparking solo as revue and try-out
Like an entertainer on his own, Hermann Heisig moderates the room and the surrounding situation by clearing his throat, cheering, commenting, imitating sounds and giving various flaming speeches. Between speaking, singing and dancing, numbers are created in which the voice becomes the resonant space of the body, or the body is turned upside down into the resonant space of the voice: Heisig dances what he sings and sings what he dances!
HERMANN HEISIG is choreographer and dancer. Born in 1981 in Leipzig, Germany, he started to create numerous solos in galleries and clubs. After his training in Berlin and Montpellier Hermann worked with Martine Pisani, Meg Stuart, Pieter Ampe and Thomas Lehmen. Collaborations were created with Nuno Lucas, Elpida Orfanidou, May Zarhy, Anne Zacho Sogaard and Diana Wesser. Since 2013 he regularly shows his works in the Sophiensælen, for example Slap/Stick (2013), STRTCH (2014) and most recently slave to the rhythm (2019).
