INFAME PERSPEKTIVEN - DAS EXPERIMENT
In 1999, in the Belgian town of Aalst two children were murdered in a hotel room by their mother and father. In court they explained: “We wanted the best for them.” Both were declared able to stand trial and sentenced to life in prison. Is it possible to put yourself in the minds of two such extreme figures? Attempt your own self-experiment in our laboratory- read and act the role of the parents during the trial, which was recorded in the drama piece Aalst by Pol Heyvaert and Dimitri Verhulst. The first impressions of the experiment will be presented and discussed by Per. Spice! on March 18th. The project will culminate and conclude with the première of the piece Aalst in October 2013, which is accompanied by lectures and a symposium with artists, lawyers, doctors and psychologists.
