You remind me of me. is a movement analysis, a hypothesis, a work about work, an autobiographical performance, an attempt, an obstacle for relaxation, a feast, an invitation, a spatialization, a questioning, a rhetoric, a polemic, a personal statement.

Sex work is work and it uses many techniques. This performance is about one of these many – the neotantric technique. You remind me of me.  is an involvement with four years of neotantric sex work and the murmur of contexts and histories in quiet rooms. It is a performance about sex work and diverging mutual connections. To trace, which spaces of longing are opening up in touch and how much this is more a question of technique than of “genuineness”. What leads to the question, why neotantra loves to speak about genuine abandon and affection and which spaces of longing can be found in this terms? Occasionally this train of thoughts can answer as well, why neotantra can sometimes be an inconsistent bedfellow for other fields of sex work.¹

You remind me of me. is a performance that condenses many different references to a structure to talk about work. Work, that creates and produces a field of cultural appropriation and naïve orientalism. It is a performance about the metaphor of devouring and the problematic approach of adopting this metaphor at the same time. It is a questioning of the heritage of '68 as well as a personal statement to everyday working life. And it is spacial attempt to understand the many involvements of neotantra and to reflect on the problematic aspects as well as on the empowering ones. It is a invitation to listen together to the murmur of these entanglements and to the sound, that is produced by the own devouring of context.

¹ The recurrent statement exists, that neotantra is no sex work. Many tantric sex workers, I am one of them, are vehemently disagreeing.
