Peter Pleyer:
Visible Undercurrent

Visible Undercurrent
Sasha Waltz, Meg Stuart and Jeremy Wade – as choreographers in New York, Amsterdam and Arnheim they were all greatly influenced by the Post-Judson avant-garde of the 80’s and 90’s. Now they are coming upon past fellow companions such as Yoshiko Chuma, Mark Tompkins and Eva Karczag, in using improvisations, talks and lectures they will illustrate the influence they had. Together with a group of young dancers, Peter Pleyer created a piece from his kick-off week with the big-wigs of the dance scene: Visible Undercurrent celebrated its premiere in Sophiensæle in November 2014.
The performance will take place in context of the international conference ÜberReste. Strategien des Bleibens in den Darstellenden Künsten.
