Many of our desires are aimed at intensity and heaviness. Reason enough to examine the strategies and politics of the drastic more closely. Drastic – not to be understood as simply over reacting and blunt provocation, but rather as a technique of intensification. Polar dares to undertake an expedition in art, literature and music, but also in politics and everyday life. How does the drastic work? When does it become a trick? And when are we hurt by what we see?
