Identitarian populism and nationalism are on the rise, and the values of pluralism and democracy are increasingly under pressure. Polar and the Hertie-Innovationskolleg address this problem in a public debate: in which digital and analogue spaces can these different social groups, lifestyles and world views come together instead of drift apart from one another? How can we support common spaces which encourage the togetherness of social classes and surroundings?
