War was never really gone, and now looking towards Ukraine, Syria and IS it is close once again. 30 years after the decline of the peace movement in the former power bloc confrontation, many questions are arising anew. How to deal with violence and terrorism? Or, how involved should we get? What is happening with ‘the West’, its organization, its influential power and how is the concept of Europe as a ‘freedom project’ working out?
