So.Phile:
Cissi*s Ballroom

Cissi*s Ballroom
Those who are on stage play a role – but what role do we play daily? Did we choose this role voluntarily or did we seek it out for ourselves? And what happens when we don’t even want this role? In a beautiful dance hall setting So.Phile, the Sophienæle’s Youth Club, examines role models and stereotypes. To what extent do we identify ourselves through our biological and/or social gender and according to what norms does society ascribe and align? How are these categories created? And is it all so complicated – or as easy as a three-quarter time Waltz?
