TANZSCOUT-Einführung zu Flush
In the TANZSCOUT workshop on Flush, the focus lies on the observation that Internet portals like youtube encourage a special sense of time: Producers and users alike nowadays are familiar with effects like fast cuts, endless repetitions and slow-motion movements. But what can come about on a dance stage when meanings gradually detach themselves from movements, when elements and structures do not aim for a climax, when ever new arrangements appear and are offered for contemplation? The workshop explores how dance and choreography can achieve new aesthetics and poetics by using these compositional principles and thus provides insight and background information on Sheena McGrandles' choreographic work.
English speakers welcome, no previous dancing knowledge required. Please bring comfortable clothes and something to drink.
