Tanztexte/Tanztage
Tanztexte/Tanztage
Deutsch-Englisch
Students of the Masters in Dance at the Freie Universität Berlin are writing about individual productions being performed during the festival. The texts will grapple with the dances, deal with the act of watching and writing, and explore the processes of perception and memory. The challenge for the writer is to capture the choreographies and their movements in words, and to decipher them for festival audiences.
On the last day of the festival, the authors of the texts and choreographers of the dances come together to discuss their mutual watching and reading experiences.
The project is part of a seminar on writing about dance, “TanzTexte” by Jun. Prof. Dr. Isa Wortelkamp.
