The Game Game
Why do people play games? Why do people watch people playing games? What defines a game as game? Is it a set of rules to be shared by all participants? Is it the act of winning or losing? Is it by marking the field? Is it the way you prepare yourself or celebrate afterwards? Or is it how you perform in front of an audience?
Seven players gather for the purpose of overcoming unnecessary obstacles. They dwell in a thick environment of sofa emotionality, blown-up megalomania, grand orchestral landscapes, aimless efforts, shameless hedonism and self inflicted pseudo-competitivity. In The Game Game real stories and prefabricated emotions clash in an unpredictable set of seemingly arbitrary rules. The participants linger in a sphere between the generic and the personalized.
