The longing for collective intoxicating experiences is the flip side of the apprehension of mass hysteria. Trip subjects this intense physical feeling to theatrical research: they steal gestures from the combative spirit and pathos, borrow revolutionary bodies from the past and sweat it out during their search for traces of utopia. They waste their energy on the battlefields of a revolution which is no longer based on an ideology. Relate to crises! Relate to conflict! Relate to the unbearable! Following a successful international tour, Trip returns to the Sophiensaele where the piece first celebrated its premiere in 2008.
