Five musical rescue measures

Five composer-performers combine sound, image and performance into audiovisual compositions and dive into the subtext of 1960’s GDR photographs. The depiction of two lifeguards in action in a GDR textbook conjure up bizarre associations and blur the lines of the traditional roles of rescuer and victim. Who is saving whom? What did the photographers see?
