Encounters at Sea – Transformations

Encounters at Sea – Transformations
Hands-On-Talk
Duration: 1h
German, English

Free admission, please register here.

As part of the performance Turn The P/Age by Eva Meyer-Keller, the discussion format Encounters at Sea: Transformations creates a space for knowledge exchange.

Two transformation experts enter into a playful dialog with the team, the performers and the audience in order to explore and deepen the themes of the performance from other perspectives.

Working with and thinking through objects (“Thinking-With-Things”) creates conversations that value knowledge and non-knowledge in equal measure. The format invites us to go beyond the technical to include personal experiences, doubts and gaps. How do we deal with the limits of our knowledge? And how can we draw from this uncertainty?

With: Esther Kogelboom (managing editor at Tagesspiegel, co-founder of the Tagesspiegel podcast Gyncast, and co-author of Das Große GYN Buch [2024]), Elliott Cennetoglu (artist, lighting designer, acupuncturist, writes about their experience of pregnancy as a nonbinary trans person, among other topics.), and Eva Meyer-Keller (choreographer and performer; her artistic practice is characterized by interdisciplinary and collaborative projects at the intersection of performing and visual arts, as well as science) as well as the performers and the team of TURN THE P/AGE.

A production by Eva Meyer-Keller in co-production with Sophiensæle and PACT Zollverein. Supported by the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion and by the Fonds Darstellende Künste with funds from the Federal Commissioner for Culture and the Media. Media partners: Missy MagazineSiegessäuletaz.
