Let’s assume it all started in Buckow. Let’s assume, discount stores, the family run auto-shop and Café Good Morning are the center of the world. Then what exactly does the rest of Berlin mean? Let’s assume someone just disappears. But where to? And how? Let’s assume there are portals to somewhere: in the television, in the school toilets, in your mobile phone…Where does one end up? And where is Jane Doe? Eleven adolescents search for her in their neighbourhood – and now the entire neighbourhood knows her. Do they disappear too, or do they remain here?
