Martin Nachbar:
Urheben Aufheben

Since 1999, Martin Nachbar has been dealing with the German choreographer Dore Hoyer and her 1962 piece Affectos Humanos. This cycle piece composed of five dances each four minutes in length deals with a different human emotion. For Urheben Aufheben, Martin Nachbar reconstructs the dances of vanity and love and builds them into a production that places the body as the bearer of memories in the forefront, and examines the identity of the dancers and collection as a cultural function.
