From the material that Rike Flämig, Anna Hentschel and Zwoisy Mears-Clarke collected during their research work, a magazine, a so-called Zine, has been created which you can download HERE.
The year is 2O9O. We celebrate the successful implementation of the Peaceful Revolution’s utopian concepts. POSTOST 2O9O looks back at the women’s and civil rights movement in East Germany between 1989 and 1990, taking inspiration from their visions and feminist utopias while examining the visionary potential of that time from an intersectional perspective.
Together, we celebrate 100 years of feminist utopias, 100 years of the draft constitution of the Central Round Table and 100 years of Ossifuturism, which have continued to be pivotal in the re-imagination of social constructions and systems in the midst of upheavals. The guest artists of the evening will present performative rituals and short re-enactments from the years 2O42, 2O63 and 2O82 that have been influenced by feminism and Ossifuturism. Between voice and dance, improvised structures emerge and, precisely due to their transience, open up space for something new.
ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION
We, the 40 guests and 8 guest artists of the evening, will be hosted in the ballroom of Sophiensaele. Each of the guests will be personally escorted inside via the entrance of your choice, whether stairwell or elevator. Throughout the 45 minutes that we will share with one another, our seating comfort is provided by revolving stools, 5 chairs with a backrest and armrest and a beanbag, which are spaced out with a distance of 1.5 meters between each chair for plenty of legroom. Come as you are (masks and all), take a seat and celebrate with us. On to POSTOST!

In their previous collaborative work, Rike Flämig (postost) and Zwoisy Mears-Clarke (postx) have made post-colonial and post-communist perspectives visible. In the productions Idiosyncrasies (Tanztage Berlin 2016) and Fleischsalat (2017) they have addressed the effects of Western narratives on their bodies. For POSTOST 2O9O they team up with scenographer Anna Hentschel (postwest) to take up the utopian legacy of the women's and citizens' movement 89/90+ in the GDR and invite the audience into the futuristic setting of the 100-year celebration POSTOST 2O9O.
