The workshop series for everyone who wants to bring more movement into their everyday (work-)life!
Speaking, singing, crying, shouting, cheering - when something moves us, we express ourselves with our voice. And we use it to move others. Physically, it is an expression of the movements and vibrations of our body: the air of our breath passes over our vocal cords and causes them to vibrate. A sound is created and amplified because other body parts resonate with it. The participants oft he workshop explore this resonance of voice and body. Through their voice they can find freedom in their own body. Using the body, they raise their voice and come into their agency to act - both on a private and political level.
The different exercises and small choreographies are easily transferable to your practice with children, teenagers and adults. A script summarizes all the exercises for your (pedagogical) work or your practice at home. Previous dance experience is not required. Please bring comfortable clothes and something to drink. The number of participants is limited to 10.
The subject of the workshop is inspired by the dance solo Overtongue, in which Michelle Moura works with ventriloquism to decouple the voice from the body and at the same time create a diversity of voices. Participation in the workshop entitles to purchase a discounted ticket for the performance of Overtongue (all dates) at the price of 10 euros.

WORKSHOPLEAD María Ferrara is a dance and theater maker and performer. In addition, she conceives and leads mediation formats with TANZSCOUT Berlin, she teaches dance theater and yoga and accompanies self-development processes with artistic practices according to a Gestalt approach. She studied Russian Studies at the University of Essex, acting at the Estudio Juan Carlos Corazza in Madrid and dance in Spain. She trained as a Gestalt facilitator and yoga teacher. On behalf of the Spanish Centers of Lifelong Learning for Teachers, she worked as a facilitator of the course "The Educational Value of Humor" with the consultancy Humor Positivo, among others. Since 2014 she lives and works in Berlin.
