In February, Sophiensæle will celebrate the world premiere of Miranda July’s bestseller All Fours – a story about courage, desire and self-discovery. At its center is a woman in midlife who leaves all conventions behind, walks away from her familiar surroundings, and embarks on a radical experiment in a motel: she sets out to discover who she truly is beyond roles and expectations.

Before the premiere, actors Meike Droste and Fritzi Haberlandt will meet author, moderator and relationship expert Paula Lambert. Together, they’ll offer exclusive insights into the text and invite the audience to an open conversation – about growing older in a society that often renders women in the second half of their lives invisible; about bodies, change, desire, control, and letting go.

An evening full of inspiration, exchange, and curiosity – about life and the courage to begin again.

Meike Droste graduated from the Otto Falckenberg School and has performed at Münchner Kammerspiele, Berliner Ensemble, Deutsches Theater Berlin and Vienna’s Burgtheater, among others. In 2009, she received the FAUST Theater Award and became widely known through the TV series Mord mit Aussicht.

Fritzi Haberlandt studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts and has performed at Schauspiel Hannover, Thalia Theater Hamburg, and Deutsches Theater Berlin. She has received the German Film Award twice and, in 2023, the FAUST Award.

Paula Lambert is a relationship expert, columnist, author of several books, and podcast host. From 2013 to 2024, she was the presenter of Paula kommt.

Sabine Auf der Heyde is a theater director, lecturer and social justice and diversity trainer. She has directed productions at various theaters in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Her work focuses on collaborations with contemporary authors, most recently Anke Stelling and Kim de l’Horizon.

Since 2012, Holle Münster has directed numerous plays and adaptations of contemporary and classical authors. Another core of her artistic practice is her work with the theater collective Prinzip Gonzo, where she serves as director, performer, designer, and production manager. The group creates genre-defining participatory game-theater formats, with productions developed both in municipal/state theaters and in the independent scene.
