Johannes Müller / Philine Rinnert + Genoel von Lilienstern:
Aids Follies
Music Theatre
Deutsch + Englisch

Aids Follies combines revue and lecture performance, documentary clips and pop culture into the first virus-biographical show ever. From pop to porn and opera to activism, a global cultural history of HIV interweaves with the obsessive search for a patient zero. The resulting panorama for which Genoël von Lilienstern has written new compositions, draws on queer revues from the 80s and juxtaposes typical narratives and stereotypes with an international research.
