Knowledge is fact. Knowledge is power. Not knowing is in fact mighty embarrassing. However, the protagonists in Nele Stuhler's play has no idea – about world and domestic politics, political correctness, nutrition, ironing and so much more. But what could it mean to confess to cluelessness without heroising ignorance? An unsuspecting lecture in the footsteps of Christa Wolf – about the past, of which we cannot know anything, the present, which we do not understand, and the future, of which we have no idea.

Nele Stuhler was born in Berlin. Her first theater works were made at the Jugendtheater der Volksbühne, P14. She studied applied theatre science in Gießen and scenic writing in Graz and is a member of the theatre collectives Leien des Alltags and FUX. Her most recent works have been shown at the Schauspielhaus Wien, the Münchner Kammerspiele, the Hebbel am Ufer Berlin and the Schauspiel Frankfurt. She was a scholarship holder of the International Forum of the Theatertreffen and received the Else-Lasker-Schüler-Stückepreis in 2018 for her play Fische.
