A choreographic labyrinth: ONON looks at the things and digital systems that organize our everyday lives.
Like the systems that surround us, the people who operate them are always in action. ON ON instead of OFF. In a choreography, human and non-human elements combine to form a multi-rhythmic machine. Mobile walls form a labyrinth. Following their own rhythm, the elements move across the stage as if drawn by magic. The performers follow the mechanical choreography of this inorganic body - but not without testing their limits and possibilities of resistance. Can the system be subverted from within?

CLÉMENT LAYES lives and works as a choreographer and performer in Berlin since 2008. At the interface of choreography, visual arts and philosophy, his works emerge from observations of the everyday life. His performances are shown internationally. The company PUBLIC IN PRIVATE, founded by Clément Layes and Jasna Vinovrski in Berlin in 2008, investigates, reflects and questions social, political and cultural structures in its artistic works with the aim of expanding the boundaries and understanding of dance as an art form in a collaborative approach and reflecting on its media conditions.
