Stage

• The stage is surrounded on two sides by grandstands. 

Light

• Frequent changes between light and dark.
• The lighting situation is basically kept rather bright.
• Light sources with neon tubes in different colours (red, green, blue) hang from the ceiling on all four sides of the stage. Two of the light sources hang above each of the first rows of seats.
• In the centre of the stage, a light object with neon tubes hangs from the ceiling, swaying slightly back and forth several times in the play.
• At several moments there are rapid changes of light and flickering light.

Sound

• Multiple use of sudden popping sounds as well as recordings of speeches and applause.
• Multiple on and off ticking metronome sounds with varying timing.
• From the second half of the piece, selective use of loud feedback noises as well as tapping and scraping noises through the microphone. A few times the microphone falls loudly to the floor.
• From the second half of the piece onwards, increasing overlapping of noises and sounds until they mix into a drone and can be felt haptically as vibrations across the stand.
• In the last third of the performance, mainly whispered speaking.

Atmosphere

• The overlapping of sounds and their development into a droning noise creates an ominous atmosphere at the appropriate point.

Other effects

• At one point in the last third there is smoke on one side of the stage.

Audience area

• Audience area mainly lit
• There are two seated grandstands in the auditorium, facing each other in parallel. The stage is located between the two grandstands.
• 2 beanbag seats bookable subject to availability
• 2 wheelchair seats bookable according to availability
• At the beginning, the performers sit spread out in the audience. They act there one after the other and suddenly begin to speak from the audience.
• Several times the performers come close to the audience.
• In one scene the audience is asked to chant a slogan several times.
• In another scene, individuals from the audience are directly addressed with a question and a request for an answer.

Early Boarding

If, for artistic reasons, the door to the auditorium does not open until very shortly before the performance begins, there is the option of early boarding.

JULE FLIERL wants to shake up the relationship between seeing and hearing: What you see is not always what you hear, and what you hear is not always what you see. Jule is fascinated by how notions of the body change specific to context and that the voice as a technology of the self is always finding new relationships to the body. Jule graduated from SEAD-Salzburg, EXERCE Montpellier and is continuously studying the "Lichtenberg Method". As a dancer she has worked with Meg Stuart, Tino Sehgal, Martin Nachbar, Gintersdorfer/Klassen and Anna Nowicka among others.
