Alexandre Achour, Diana Anselmo, Saša Asentić, Xavier Le Roy & Scarlet Yu
SAŠA ASENTIĆ is a choreographer, performance maker and cultural worker. He was born in the former Yugoslavia and started his work in the independent scene in Serbia. Since 2007 his works have been presented internationally. He lives in Berlin. Asentić is interested in exploring the relationship between the individual and society, analyzing it in terms of social choreography. Asentić works in the field of contemporary dance, performance and disability arts. His artistic practice is based on the principle of solidarity and resistance to cultural oppression and indoctrination. He is constantly working on prolonging his residence permit in Germany.
XAVIER LE ROY holds a doctorate in molecular biology, is a choreographer and professor of applied theater in Giessen. His solo works open new perspectives in the field of choreography. His collaborative works in the field of art and research around the world and in different contexts, such as exhibitions, question the relationships between spectators/visitors and performers, trying to transform or reconfigure dichotomies such as object/subject, animal/human, machine/human, nature/culture, public/private, form/unform.
DIANA ANSELMO is an artist studying theater and performing arts at IUAV University in Venice. During her bachelor's degree in sociology, she works for festivals and gets to know a world she doesn't want to leave. Diana Anselmo is an activist working against discrimination against people with disabilities and for intersectional trans-queer feminism; she is vice president and co-founder of Al.Di.Qua.Artists (ALternative DIsability QUAlities Artists) and, among other things, the youngest member of the Cultural Advisory Board of the British Council.
ALEXANDRE ACHOUR is a Berlin-based choreographer and dancer. He was a fellow of the Pina Bausch Foundation and holds an MA in Choreography from the HZT Berlin. He develops his artistic practice especially within collaborative structures and works with Saša Asentić, Tino Sehgal, Xavier Le Roy and Guo Rui, among others. Together with Per.art (Novi Sad) and Tanzerei (Berlin) he realizes disability dance projects like DIS_Sylpide or We are not Monsters.
SCARLET YU is a performer and choreographer. She has developed projects at WING Platform for Performance and Oil Street in Hong Kong and IsLand Bar at Taipei Arts Festival 2018. She has collaborated with various artists* and companies, including Haris Pašović, Teatro de los Sentidos and Xavier Le Roy, with whom she developed Temporary Title, 2015 and Still Untitled at Skulptur Projekte Münster (2017) and The Rite of Spring (2018). Her research focuses on the transformative potential of autobiographical material in choreographic one-to-one situations.
