Roman Lemberg & Michael Kleine
Michael Kleine's practice moves between the formats of stage design, performance, architecture, music and sculpture, always in close dialogue with the location and context. In all genres, he develops concepts for encounters between visitors, art and artists. He often integrates historical artifacts into his works. Artistic collaborations are a recurring element of his practice. His works have been shown in institutions of the visual and performing arts, including Bonner Kunstverein, Schinkelpavillon Berlin, Volksbühne Berlin, Kunstverein Leipzig, Künstlerhaus Stuttgart, Ruhrtriennale Bochum, Theater Basel, Kampnagel Hamburg, Zentrum für Kunst und Medien Karlsruhe, Hamburg State Opera, Museion Bolzano, Klosterfelde Collection Hamburg, Biennale Arte di Venezia, Philharmonie de Paris, Opéra de Reims, Radialsystem Berlin.
Roman Lemberg is a musician, composer and dramaturge. He plays keyboard instruments. He usually develops his pieces collectively with musicians from different genres as well as with amateurs. His practice encompasses various styles and genres, from electronic music and organ improvisations to arrangements of works from the classical opera repertoire. He is a member of the Junge Akademie at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities and researches the performance practice of music from ritual and ceremonial contexts. As an organist, he is interested in the traditions of sacred music. Performances with his contributions have been shown at the following institutions: Staatsoper Berlin, Sophiensæle Berlin, Volksbühne Berlin, Schinkelpavillon Berlin, Theater Bremen, Theater Halle, Kampnagel Hamburg, Rote Fabrik Zürich, Théâtre de l'Athenée Paris, Théâtre Imperial Compiégne, Vlaamse Opera Antwerpen/Gent.
Roman Lemberg and Michael Kleine have been working together for many years. They have realized performances, concerts and exhibitions in the following institutions, among others Musiktage Donaueschingen (2021), Volksbühne Berlin (2018), Schinkelpavillon Berlin, Klosterfelde Collection (2012/14/16), Hamburg State Opera (2007/08/11), Bonner Kunstverein (2021/23), Biennale di Venezia (2019).
Anna Fusek was born in Prague. She studied violin, recorder and piano in early music, as well as philosophy and musicology. She made her debut as a recorder player at the Philharmonie Berlin in 2007 and as a soloist on all three instruments with the Orchestra della Toscana in Florence in 2017. She conducts her own ensemble Kavka as well as the Orchestra della Toscana and the Granada Symphony Orchestra on a regular basis. As a soloist, she has worked with renowned orchestras such as the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Venice Baroque Orchestra, Berliner Philharmoniker, WDR Symphony Orchestra, Collegium 1704, Orchestra Il Pomo d'Oro in Europe, USA, South America and Asia. Since 2017, she has also been involved in composition and improvisation with her ensemble La Cosmologie de la Poire.
