Felix Mathias Ott + Bahar Temiz:
M.A.R.S
M.A.R.S
In the piece, M.A.R.S, Bahar Temiz and Felix M. Ott examine the various ways and possibilities of moving together. This Paris-Berlin choreographic collaboration aims to remove the boundaries between the two bodies and to reinvent the relationship between them. Understanding their bodies as instruments playing an unusual score, they navigate from one situation to the next. Intertwining their bodies into a single being allows them to flow into one another in complete dedication to the task in hand.
AUGUST 30 | Meet the Artist Felix Mathias Ott & Bahar Temiz | Presented talk after the performance
Felix Mathias Ott lives in Berlin and works internationally in the performing arts. His father, a German actor, inspired his interest in the theatre from early on. Ott initially studied stage design, and later contemporary dance, context and choreography at the HZT Berlin. Since then he has worked as a stage designer, video artist, performer, author and choreographer. He has performed for Mathilde Monnier, Boris Charmatz and Clément Layes. In his own artistic work he creates reflective spaces in which the audience is invited to discover their own unconscious world.
Bahar Temiz was born in Istanbul in 1983. She lives and works as a choreographer and dancer in Paris. She studied philosophy at the Sorbonne in Paris, dance at the ArtEZ Dance Academy in the Netherlands and choreography at Ex.e.r.ce in Montpellier. She took her MA in dance at the Université de Paris VIII. Since then she has worked as a dancer and performer with Erik Kaiel, Willi Dorner, Dylan Newcomb, Superamas and Ivana Müller. Her own artistic works invite the audience to discover their own personal, narrative participation in the visual process. They have been shown in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Sweden and Turkey.
