Normal Love
Normal Love
Normal Love (1963) is the second feature film of legendary New York underground filmmaker Jack Smith. We are showing this film in the posthumous version edited by Jerry Tartaglia. It shows a panorama of snake women, mummies, mermaids and exotic dances to the soundtrack of exotica jazz and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. Together with his friends and underground stars, Smith arranges picnic scenes, orgies and Busby Berkeley numbers, and transforms exoticisms of 1950’s Hollywood into a queer feast of images.
