13th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art
13th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art
Since 1998, the Berlin Biennale takes place every two years at varying locations in Berlin. The upcoming edition will present its program from June 14 to September 14, 2025 across four venues: KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Sophiensæle, Hamburger Bahnhof - Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart, and a former courthouse on Lehrter Straße in Berlin-Moabit. Zasha Colah is curating the 13th Berlin Biennale with Valentina Viviani as assistant curator.
The encounter with foxes in Berlin’s urban landscape is one of the starting points for thinking about fugitivity and the ability of a work of art to set its own laws. In addition to the exhibition at the Sophiensæle Kantine, The Beggars’ Convention, 2025 takes place in the Festsaal on the opening weekend of the Biennale. More information at 13.berlinbiennale.de.
Sophiensæle is cooperation partner and a venue of the 13th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art which takes places at various venues in Berlin from 14.06.–14.09.
