Isabelle Schad
Isabelle Schad is a dancer and choreographer. Her research focuses on the relationships between choreography and (re-)presentation, perception and experience, and explores the self and our interconnectedness in the world. She regards artistic practice as a place for lifelong learning processes, community and political participation.
Her innovative projects at the interface with the visual arts are shown internationally in a variety of contexts at festivals, in museums and in theatrical spaces. Schad received an award for outstanding artistic achievements in contemporary dance as part of the 2019 Deutscher Tanzpreis (German Dance Award).
